State of the District - Budget Planning

William Penn School District is faced with unprecedented educational and financial challenges. We are currently reflecting a $9 million deficit for the 2011-12 school year. Our responsibility is to provide a quality educational program and at the same time be effective stewards of public resources. Our plan is to communicate with all stakeholders our financial status and its impact on our students, staff, and community. We encourage all creative input to make the best decisions to positively impact our school district.

Budget Objectives

• To provide every child in the William Penn School District with the best educational opportunities
• To maximize the use of all available resources from local, state and federal funding
